My First Float!

Tried my first float at Float Valley this weekend .... and what an AMAZING experience!  I've had a few students (prenatal and non-prenatal) try floating and they have all shared positive, but different experiences.  Everyone floats for different reasons and I love that everyone's experiences have been described so differently.  Here's my experience:

Tapas 7 day challenge

Tapas is one of the niyamas that means discipline.

Do you have the physical or mental discipline to challenge yourself self this week?

I challenge you to do one pose or meditation everyday for the next 7 days.  You decide if you want an easy or difficult challenge.  But whatever the pose or meditation you pick,  find time everyday for the next 7 days to complete it.

My tapas will be do do a downward dog once a day for the next 7 days.

If I can do it, so can you!

DIY Yoga Mat Spray

No need to spend a lot of money on commercial mat sprays.  It's simple and easy to make your own.

In a spray bottle ADD:

  • 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water
  • 3 to 5 drops of tea tree oil
  • 5 to 8 drops of essential oil of your choice. 


I used the DoTerra Purify Blend, but use whatever scent you are loving at the moment. (Pregnant mama's limit your exposure to peppermint).  Some great suggestions might be:

Lemon/orange, Lavendar or Eucalyptus.
