We have a special treat for all our Yoga Bellys....

We are excited to have midwife, Shannon Kaupp from Durham Markham Midwives come to speak to our Balance & Boost online class, as well as our Prenatal mommies about acupressure points good for fertility, labour and delivery.

Just another perk from joining us at Yoga Belly!

I'm very excited to announce that we are opening up two time slots for the next 5-week session that is set to start at Float Valley in Novemeber.

The universe works in funny ways and I am just so blessed to have met so many wonderful people on this journey.  Mentors, teachers, fellow yogis, new and old friends, and of course all the wonderful #yogabellymoms who make this program what it is.

What a great way to wrap up 2017...

Can't wait to see what 2018 brings!

RECEIVE

Lesson of the week is to RECEIVE.

One of my #yogabellymoms asked if I needed help cleaning up after class and my response has always been: "no, it's okay" to which she responded "Receive, Jen"

This got me thinking about the word "receive" all week...

I find that too often I try to do things on our own, not wanting to bother anyone else with whatever it is I am doing.

When in doubt, OM

Being a new mom is hard.  Newborns don't come with a handbook.

I found that when I didn't know what to do, I would OM to clear my mind, reset and try to approach the situation with less stress and frustration.  When baby is crying and she's full with a clean diaper and just needs some sleep, I would find myself om-ing in the rocking chair.  And to my amazement, sometimes baby would just relax from the vibrations.

Do one thing outside your comfort zone today.

My Challenge to you this week: do one thing outside your comfort zone.

I practice Yoga for ME, so doing a photoshoot for Yoga Belly made me a little self conscious about my poses and what they look like.  Does the pose look good enough to be shared?  Do I have good alignment?  Will I be judged for not looking perfect?  After thinking more about it, I decided that it doesn't matter...

THIS IS ME.

Pregnant with my third, a big belly bump, sleep deprived and in need of a haircut, and I'm fine with that.  This is me and where I am at in my journey.
