Yogi on the mountain

When people think of yoga and sometimes their yoga teachers, I feel like they always imagine some version of a barefoot hippy person who drinks green juice, eats vegetarian and never has any worries.   While I might do some of these things, I know I am no where close to the version of what I imagine to be a true yogi.  In my mind, I have this idea that some person living off the side of a mountain practicing yoga and meditating for days in a cave is this true yogi (lol) and he is who I think about when I need to be more zen and dial down the drama in my life.

Floating Pt. 1 (pregnant)

What is floating?

For those who don’t know, you are literally laying down floating in a tub of water infused with large amounts of Epson salt.  The water is heated to your body temperature and after a few minutes the lights turn off and you are laying in complete silence and darkness for an hour.  While this might sound scary for some, it was actually quite calming to disconnect.

Your journey through labour and birth is just that, YOURS.

I have a variety of clients who come to yoga for different reasons.  The C-section mom who just needs to relax and calm her nerves.  The natural birth mom who wants to experience the joy of birthing with the least amount of fear and tension as possible.  The get me through labour until I can have the epidural mom (pretty self explanatory).   That's just to name a few.
